Ms. Usha Kiran Barla is currently serving as Program Coordinator and Assistant
Professor at the Department of Fashion Design, Arka Jain University. She holds a Masters
in Design specialization in Design for Retail Experience from National Institute of
Design, R&D Campus, Bengaluru and a Bachelors in Fashion Technology in Apparel
Production from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bengaluru. She is UGC NET
qualified Dec 2018.
She is Design Consultant for various university related projects with NGOs and local brands.
She has been a Design Educator for 7 years and has a past working experience as a Design
Manager implementing Design Thinking at various levels of the organization. Her passion is
for local tribal communities and sustainable design projects. She is also active in Research
area publishing in various reputed journals.
