Dr. Jyoti Khurana is an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at Arka Jain University with research expertise in enzyme engineering, protein biochemistry and microbial biotechnology. Her doctoral work focused on the cloning, expression and biochemical characterization of Bacillus lipase, followed by extensive studies on protein engineering through site-directed mutagenesis and directed evolution to enhance thermostability and cold adaptation. She is interested in microbial enzyme-related industrial and pharmaceutical related enzyme processes. Dr. Khurana has authored peer-reviewed publications in reputed International journals, co-authored one book and many book chapters. She is also a team member in publishing patents. Her technical expertise spans recombinant gene expression, protein purification and characterization, enzyme kinetics, chromatography, and molecular strategies with applications in industrial biotechnology, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.
