Dr. Anup Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Arka Jain University, Jamshedpur. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, where his research focused on the performance analysis of solar air heaters with artificial roughness. He completed his M.E. in Heat Power from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Ajay Binay Institute of Technology, Cuttack.
With over a decade of academic and research experience, Dr. Kumar has served in reputed institutions and currently contributes to teaching, research, and innovation activities at Arka Jain University. He is also the Convener of the Institution’s Innovation Council at the university.
His research interests include heat and mass transfer, non-conventional energy systems, thermodynamics, IC engines, refrigeration and air conditioning, and applications of soft computing. He has published extensively in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals, contributed book chapters, authored books, and holds published patents in the areas of renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and materials science.
Dr. Kumar is a reviewer for several international journals, including Renewable Energy (Elsevier), Energy Conversion and Management (Elsevier), and Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (Springer). He is also a member of professional bodies such as IEEE and IAENG.
