Dr. Jonaki Mukherjee is an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering and IT, Arka Jain University, Jharkhand. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Jadavpur University, where her research focused on silicon carbide thin films using liquid polycarbosilane precursors for MEMS and optoelectronic applications. She completed her M.Sc. in Physics from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and her B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Burdwan.
Dr. Mukherjee has carried out postdoctoral research at IIT Kharagpur and NIT Rourkela, working on nanocrystalline SiC for bioimaging and MEMS sensors, and on Cu₂ZnSnS₄/graphene composites for photovoltaic devices. Her research interests span thin film coatings, nanocomposites, carbon nanotube–glass composites, and materials for energy and optoelectronic applications. She has authored several publications in reputed international journals and contributed a book chapter on ceramic nanocomposites.
She is a recipient of the DST-National Postdoctoral Fellowship (2017) and the CSIR-SRF (2013–14), and has received awards including the Best Poster Award at a national conference in 2015. Her work is recognized for advancing multifunctional materials with improved mechanical, electrical, and optical properties.
