Dr. Shweta, working as an Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy, ARKA JAIN University, Jamshedpur. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad, her M.S. (Pharm) from NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar, and B. Pharm from Manipal University. She has 10 years of Teaching & Research experience. She has rich research experience, having served as a Senior Research Fellow (2013–2016) and Junior Research Fellow (2011–2013) at NIPER-Hyderabad, where she worked extensively on cancer biology, molecular pharmacology, and experimental therapeutics. Her research interests include cancer, inflammation, diabetes, epigenetics, and metabolic disorders. Her contributions have been widely recognized through several honors, including the ICMR Travel Award, DST Travel Grant to present her work, Senior Research Fellowship (2013) and Junior Research Fellowship (2011) from the Department of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, and the Women Young Scientist Award (2020). Earlier in her academic journey, she stood as the topper in M.S. (Pharm.), received fellowships from Bristol-Myers Squibb (2010–2011) and the Department of Chemicals & Fertilizers (2009–2010), and was awarded the prestigious Dr. T.M.A. Pai Gold Medal (2009) for Best Student at Manipal University. She is actively involved as a reviewer and editorial board member for reputed journals and is a lifetime member of professional societies such as APTI, IPA, IPGA, SPER, and IPES. She has authored more than 50 scientific articles, five book chapters, and one book, and holds an Indian patent. Her research has gained wide recognition, with a Google Scholar h-index of 20, i10-index of 22, and over 1,650 citations.
