Dr. Pompi Das Sengupta is a distinguished academician and economist, currently serving as the Assistant Dean of the School of Commerce and Management at Arka Jain University. With over 20 years of experience in teaching, she is recognized for her leadership in curriculum development, research, and academic administration.

She holds a B.Sc. from Calcutta University, an M.A. in Economics, a B.Ed. from Loyola College of Education, and completed her Ph.D. in 2017. Her doctoral research titled “Growth and Development and the Financial Health of the Co-operative Credit System with Reference to Jharkhand” reflects her strong foundation in financial systems and development economics. She also qualified the UGC-NET in Economics in 2014.

Over the years, Dr. Sengupta has made impactful contributions to academia not only through teaching but also through research and publication. She has authored and co-authored several journal articles, books, and research papers, published by reputed national and international publishers. Her work has been featured in recognized journals like the International Journal of Research in Commerce, Management and others, and she has received accolades including the Best Paper Presentation Award at national conferences.

In her administrative and academic role at AJU, she has led numerous initiatives such as organizing seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and student development programs. She has served on key institutional committees including the Research Council, Academic Council, Examination Cell, and Grievance Redressal Cell.

Beyond academics, she is a trained classical vocalist, having completed Sangit Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad—underscoring her diverse talents and interests.
