Dr. Rupa Sarkar is an Associate Professor at the Department of English, School of Humanities, at ARKA JAIN University, Jharkhand. She is a Doctor of Philosophy in English and has been engaged into teaching for the past fifteen years. She has successfully supervised four Ph.D. scholars who have been awarded their doctorates under her guidance. Her areas of expertise are Indian English literature, feminist literary criticism, gender studies, and translation studies and is committed to interdisciplinary scholarship. Dr. Sarkar contributes significantly to the university’s research ecosystem through guidance, publication, and academic leadership. She is a firm believer in humanism and approaches the teaching of literature with deep passion and commitment. She actively encourages innovative and progressive research thinking, fostering an environment where critical inquiry and interdisciplinary exploration thrive. Her dedication to nurturing young scholars reflects her vision of literature as a transformative force rooted in cultural understanding and social justice.
