Department of Mechanical Engineering

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering takes students through the core of mechanical design, thermal engineering, and manufacturing. M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering goes further into production systems and manufacturing practice.

Students also meet topics that connect mechanical engineering with current industry work, including robotics, mechatronics, and manufacturing methods used on the shop floor.

Classes are paired with hands-on work. Students take laboratory sessions, manufacturing and design assignments, and projects that ask them to apply what they have studied.

The department is led by the Assistant Dean, with a program coordinator and faculty across associate and assistant professor ranks.
